Dr. Rebecca Stewart (Netherlands)
Dr. Rebecca Stewart is an ethnomusicologist and early vocal ensemble specialist, internationally recognized for her expertise in Gregorian chant and Renaissance vocal practice. She served as the founding head of the Early Vocal Department at the Brabants/Fontys Conservatorium in the Netherlands and co-founded the Renaissance vocal ensemble Cappella Pratensis, serving for many years as its maestro di cappella. She later founded the ensemble Cantus Modalis, producing numerous acclaimed recordings, including a Josquin Desprez commemorative project. Since earning her Ph.D. in Ethnomusicology in 1974, she has worked extensively in both Hindustani classical music and early Western sacred music, and continues to give concerts, workshops, and lectures across Europe.

레베카 스튜어트 박사는 민족음악학자이자 초기 성악 앙상블 전문가로, 그레고리오 성가와 르네상스 성악 실천 분야의 세계적인 권위자입니다. 네덜란드 Brabants/Fontys 음악원에서 초기 성악과를 창설하고 초대 학과장을 역임하였으며, 르네상스 전문 앙상블 Cappella Pratensis의 공동 창립자이자 오랜 기간 maestro di cappella로 활동했습니다. 이후 Cantus Modalis를 창립하여 여러 권위 있는 음반을 제작했으며, Josquin Desprez 헌정 음반 프로젝트도 포함됩니다. 1974년 민족음악학 박사학위를 취득한 이후 힌두스탄 음악과 초기 서양 전례음악에서 폭넓게 연구와 연주 활동을 이어왔으며, 현재도 유럽 전역에서 연주, 강의, 워크숍을 활발히 진행하고 있습니다.
