Mr. Claude Pateau (France)
Claude Pateau is the director of the Schola Saint-Grégoire in Le Mans, France—an international academy of sacred music founded in 1938 under the patronage of the Pontifical Council for Culture. Since 2002, he has led the institute in promoting the Ward Method of music education and advancing Gregorian chant in the tradition of Dom Mocquereau–Dom Gajard. His teaching and leadership continue to contribute significantly to the renewal of sacred music and the education of chant practitioners around the world.
